A private compound in Las Tunas

The Adobe House, Studio and Casita share a saltwater pool, gardens and courtyards. The whole compound is yours.

There’s a full kitchen in both the Adobe House and the Casita, and a long table outside for meals together. Playa Las Tunas is a five-minute walk.

A sculptor’s home

Peter Ambrose built Casa del Arte as his home and studio. His son Garrick, an architect, later added the white modernist buildings alongside the original adobe.

Art from Mexico and elsewhere is still part of ordinary days here—on plinths, in niches, along the path to the pool.

Our first morning back

We went to Pilates nearby, then came home for massages. Marisela had made breakfast. Later, we were in the pool with our daughter, looking up at the palms and bougainvillea against the blue sky.

Breakfast and light housekeeping

Breakfast and light housekeeping are included during a three-hour morning visit, usually 8–11 a.m. Marisela prepares breakfast and clears up; groceries are included, with special requests charged separately. Visits are optional and normally offered daily, subject to holiday availability.

Armando welcomes you at check-in, usually stops by once a day, and is available on WhatsApp during your stay.

Three buildings, four bedrooms

Four bedrooms across the Adobe House, Studio and Casita accommodate up to eight guests. The Adobe House also has an open bonus room with a single bed.

The Adobe House

One king bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, plus an open bonus room with a single bed and no door. Original adobe walls, art and a fully equipped kitchen.

The Studio

One large room with one king bed and one queen bed, an ensuite bathroom and an outdoor shower.

The Casita

Two bedrooms, each with two twin beds that can be joined as a king. The upstairs beds are normally joined; downstairs they are normally separate. Two bathrooms, a kitchen and a separate entrance.

Las Tunas

Todos Santos has galleries, restaurants and a historic centre to explore. Playa Las Tunas is nearby for beach walks and sunset; La Pastora is a local surf break to the north. A car makes the week much easier.
